MAW 20 FB3/1 – FPH6 – Filament winding machine with integrated fiber placement assisted winding head for thermoplastic roving.
For the industries where use of the thermoplastic matrix and their advantages is of primary concern for our customers, we designed and produced special model of filament winding machine.
Thermoset resins have been widely used for production of composite tubes and tanks which have application in the automotive industry, water transportation and chemical industry and gas storage and transportation industries. However, the multiple drawbacks of thermoset resins requires introduction of new concepts with use of thermoplastic roving in the production of composite pipes and tanks.
MAW 20 FB3/1 – FPH6 has been used mostly used with thermoplastic roving made of combination of E-glass and polypropylene filaments. This thermoplastic roving is designed for high mechanical properties, such as excellent stiffness/weight ratio and superior impact properties. It also provides with efficient and environmental friendly process conditions, high freedom of design and is recyclable.
Fiber placement assisted winding head is specially designed by Mikrosam’s engineering team and can be adapted for use of different types of thermoplastic matrix, according to customer requirements.
